Ventura Springs Veterans Housing Development

The ground-up new construction is a dedicated housing community located in Ventura, California, designed to support formerly homeless veterans and low-income veterans along with their families. The development spans approximately 10 acres and comprises 122 housing units distributed across 11 buildings, featuring a mix of two-story walk-ups and three-story structure with a variety of apartment configurations to accommodate different household sizes:​ 78 one-bedroom units, 33 two-bedroom units, and 11 three-bedroom units, all integrated within vibrant courtyards that promote community activities.

The community is designed to foster a supportive and engaging environment, offering a range of amenities:​ a community center with a teaching kitchen, community plaza and courtyard​, community garden​, a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) workshop space​, barbecue and picnic areas​, walking paths and landscaped sitting areas​, bocce ball area​, computer room and community lounge​, fitness center​, on-site laundry facilities​, playground and tot lot​, and a gated site entrance. To promote long-term stability and well-being, U.S.VETS provides comprehensive on-site services, including:​ career development programs​, mental health counseling​, and case management services.
