Charles Street Terrace is a “Blueprint for Progress” for innovative design, construction and integrating green technology.
The project was planned to reduce environmental impact while meeting the need for affordable and decent housing. The 50,194-square foot, 20-unit craftsman-style complex includes solar power systems for electricity and hot water, energy efficient appliances, solar lighting, a manager’s office, community room, computer lab, exterior decks, subterranean parking, on-site parking, an entrance bridge structure, and beautiful low water landscaping. It also has masonry-covered trash enclosures, a custom pedestrian bridge, and beautiful drought-tolerant landscaping.
